What to Expect
When you visit First Baptist Church of Raton, you can expect biblical preaching, meaningful worship, and a welcoming church family. Whether you are new to church or have been attending church for years, we want you to feel at home.
Our goal is to make your first visit simple, clear, and comfortable from the moment you arrive.

What should I wear?
Come as you are. You’ll likely see everything from casual clothes to Sunday best.
Wear should I go?
If you’re showing up for Sunday school, there’s a sign in the fellowship hallway that will tell you which class is which. Take your pick! If you’re just here for Service, just take a seat anywhere in the sanctuary!

What about my kids?
We have various Sunday School classes for the kiddos, head to the second floor and one of the teachers will assist!
We encourage families to bring their children to the main service at 10:45.
We also have the nursery available for ages 0-4.
Parking
Parking consists of street parking, but if space runs out, there is a parking area across the street behind the IN Bank building. View the map to see where excess parking is located.
Available Classes
Adults
The Searchers – Meet in the Fellowship Hall to study the bible book by book.
Marriage and Family – Meet in room 205 to grow in God’s Word, discipleship, and prayer.
Young Adults – Meet in room 204.
God’s Special Friends – Meet in room 104.
Youth
Grades 7th-12th
Meet in room 303 on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 to encourage and pray for one another.
On Wednesdays, we meet from 6:30 to 7:30 to study God’s Word together.
Kids
Pre-k to 6th grade
Children’s Sunday School classes meet at 9:30 Sunday morning on the second floor.
Nursery is available for ages 0-4 for both the Sunday School hour and the main worship service on Sundays.
